Ambient SBR crumb rubber is one of the two categories of recycled in-fill crumb rubber, used in the artificial sports field and running track surface industries. With ambient SBR crumb rubber, the feedstock is derived from either passenger tires, truck tires, or a combination of both. Processing is then done at room or ambient temperature. Tires are first shredded into various size pieces, while being liberated of steel and fiber. Crumb rubber granules are then created by use of either granulators or cracker mills. For TTII, either process produces high quality recycled rubber granules, which are then screened for appropriate sizing and then bagged. Product is shipped in super-sacks on pallets, usually double strapped for secure shipping.
